[조이누리 기자단] 국립중앙박물관(National Museum of Korea) - 예유나

Hello, my name is Yuna. I’d like to get you to know National Museum of Korea.

National Museum of Korea was founded in 1945 and was built in Yongsan(용산) in 2005. They have more than 330,000 collections and about 13,000 objects to display. There have been 67 national treasures, 131 general treasures, and 4 folklore assets by 2013.

To begin with, you can learn the origin of Korea from Prehistory and Ancient History Gallery on the first floor.

Hand axes are items that represent the early Paleolithic age.	This is Gold Crown of Silla (신라).

          

      

Also, cultural artifacts from the Goryeo (고려) and Joseon (조선) Dynasty are shown in Medieval and Early Modern History Gallery (1F).

 

Canopy, Throne, and Backdrop Painting in the Crown Hall of Joseon (조선).	This is real metal type of Goryeo (고려).

You can visit Donated Works and Calligraphy and Painting on the second floor. On the third floor, you can see Asia Art displaying 830 artworks gathered from Asia, and Sculptures and crafts showing 710 finest specimens of Buddhist artworks  

 

This is Village School by Kim Hongdo.(김홍도)	This is Pensive Bodhisattva.

 

     

There is Children’s museum which provides hands-on exhibitions and educational activities in a fun way. You can join Guided Tours for foreigners, Educational Programs for foreigners and families, and Outdoor Gallery Tour if you want. 

There is Yongsan(용산) Family Park next to the museum, so you can go on a picnic after visiting.

I was interested in all the artifacts, especially Bronze tiger-shaped buckle from the tomb of King Muryeong. I hope you can see the many treasures of Korea and would get more interested in them. Have fun!

안녕하세요?  부산 해운대구 센텀중학교 1학년에 재학 중인 예유나입니다. 어릴 때부터 영어를 좋아했고, 특히 2011-2012년 아빠가 2년간 미국 캘리포니아 UC Irvine에 교환교수로 계실 때 함께 얼바인에 거주하면서 초등 4~6학년 시절을 보냈습니다. 미국에 있는 동안 정말 많은 여행을 다녔고 특히 60여개의 박물관을 방문했답니다. 더불어 학교 수업도 열심히 해서 Advanced class에서 공부했구요, SCCC (Southern California Children’s Chorus)의 단원으로서도 활약했답니다. 현재는 센텀중학교를 대표하여 부산 영어도서관의 Reading Star (영어독서 선도위원)으로 활약하고 있습니다. 앞으로의 꿈은 외교관 또는 통역사이기에 특히 조인어스코리아에서 소중한 봉사활동을 할 수 있게 되서 정말 감사합니다~
