Good day, JOKOers!
Today is Earth Day, a day to celebrate the environmental movements and raise awareness about pollution.
Earth Day was created by a US Senator named Gaylord Nelson in 1970, who was greatly distressed about the lack of legal mechanisms to protect the environment.
Although Earth Day initially concerned America only, it later became a worldwide annual event.
As residents of Earth, all of us are accountable for the protection of our planet.
It is time we act boldly as individuals, to preserve our health and livelihoods, and to maintain a sustainable environment for our future generations.
JOINUS KOREA suggests you do something good for the planet today.
Even small actions, like planting something, refraining from using plastic bags, and appreciating nature outside of your house can help.
By celebrating Earth Day, we would be grateful for how beautiful and amazing our planet is.
